Maddy’s Art Gallery

My name is Maddy and I enjoy to draw,sketch, and paint. This project was really fun for me because the process was so fun and it slowly came to life. In the past years I have been drawing a lot of flowers and animated characters. I wanted to do something out of my comfort zone.

This is my final sketch before I started the process of my painting. It is a quote from my favorite show Stranger Things with a little twist of my own. The hat in the photo is the character Dustin. The quote was said by Dustin.

This is the process of gluing the canvas together. Then clamping the edges of the wood together. We do this so the canvas will be nice and tight.

This is the imprimatura. The imprimatura is kind of like sketching out your drawing before coloring the drawing.

This is my painting partially painted. In this photo it did not have the background our some of the letters painted.

This is my final painting. Comapared to my sketch I am very impressed that it turned out so similar. I am very happy with the painting.
